Winter wedding flowers at Wasing Park

Rowena and Josh chose to have their New Years Eve wedding at Wasing Park and what a day it was. I love flowering up at Wasing Park - it has a wonderfully laid back, yet sophisticated atmosphere. Perfect for a New Years Eve wedding celebration. The brief was my ideal for that time of year - crisp whites, fresh but with a hint of winter. The statement florals here were all about adding height to the barn - you cannot beat candelabras and layers upon layers of candles for the ultimate New Years Eve sparkle.

Autumn wedding flowers at Dorney Court

Dorney Court has it all - old grandeur with the beautiful character house and the wonderful sympathetically restored barn. I've dressed it a few times with flowers, but I wanted to share with you Hannah's rich autumn wedding flowers. Dorney Court is perfect if you want a blank canvas for your big day, that you can really make you're own. I worked with Hannah to transform the space for her early autumn wedding. As ever, for me, its all about having a few statement flower displays to transform the space.

If you are getting married at Templars Barn, it can be hard to visualise just how gorgeous the space can be when you first view the venue. The thing I love most about Templars Barn is it really is a venue that you can make your own. Becca and Jonny did just that with their late summer wedding. Filling the space with statement lighting, personal touches and of course a bit of flower magic. With a classic palette of creams whites and greens, we brought a little slice of the outside in. Its all about using lots of seasonal foliage and flowers to transform the space.

We have a little obsession with anything green and as a continuing trend for 2014, mint tones perfectly suit spring/summer weddings. If you want to update this look, combine shiny metallic silvers, burnt bronze tones and a myriad of emeralds, sage grees and deeper leafy tones for an elegant, up-to-date flapper inspired wedding day.

For me capturing the colour green is all about textures, tints and tones. Gather lots of different foliages, using handfuls of eucalyptus (try populus, nicholi, cinerea and baby blue) combine with dusty millar, flowing winter jasmine (or as a summer alternative clematis would work wonderfully) and hellebores for a striking, natural look.

If your after the glitz and glam, keep your flowers simple, again lots of foliage combined with soft domes of ivory ranunculus. This style would work perfectly next to a detailed flapper style dress or the gorgeous Vera Wang number featured above.

Weddings are all about YOUR detailing. Every little bit you add transforms the flowers, the venue ... everything into YOUR day and not the normal wedding. Try adding detailing to your bouquet; I love the sequinned ribbons you get in most haberdashery stores, how wonderful do they look tied around a bouquet for a glitzy streamer look!

Firstly I have to give a huge shout out to the rather wonderful Kathryn Edwards Photography, who provided all the wonderful images your about to feast your eyes on. Kuofi's bouquet was filled with David Austin Patience roses (divine scent!) poppy like anemones, bombastic spray roses, viburnum berries, scented rosemary, ranunculus and vintage pink amnesia roses. I think this has to be one of my favourite colour combinations at the moment, especially with the petrol blue viburnum berries! I love the simplicity of the bouquet, its a gorgeous mix of vintage tones with soft ivory and rustic hints. Kuofi's bouquet was bound in twine, reflecting the gardens at The Olde Bell, Hurley.
